Let your creativity soar as you work on this fun and engaging project, perfect for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. Whether you're cuddling up on a chilly evening or just looking for a unique gift idea, this cuddler is sure to make a statement wherever it goes.
This pattern contains instructions to create 1 (one) Bald Eagle Cuddler. This is NOT a finished peice.
Pattern is written in US standard crochet terms
Difficulty level :
Advanced/adventurous Beginner - due to the use of the Crocodile Stitch (a linked tutorial for this stitch IS included in this pattern)
Materials Used:
Worsted Weight #4 yarn in Colors: Red, White, Blue, Yellow (alternatively colors could be subbed for traditional Eagle colors if preferred)
G 4.0mm Hook
Polyfil stuffing
Needle for weaving in ends
Optional: Stitch Marker
Optional: 24mm Safety Eyes (Pictured: Americana from Suncatcher Craft Eyes)
I created this pattern using a G 4.00mm crochet hook (Clover brand), I realize this is not the standard G size. If you do not have a 4.00mm available, bumping up to a G 4.25mm will still give you the same look without making your Cuddler much larger.
Finished Size of Cuddler is approximately 8 inches wide by 7.25 inches tall (not including wing span).
If you have any questions at all during the creation process please feel free to contact me. Happy Crocheting!
Yarn Used:
Panels: Premier Just Yarn - Azure; I Love This Yarn - White
Wings: Premier Just Yarn - Azure; Studio 72 - Red, White
Tail: Premier Just Yarn - Azure
Beak: Red Heart Super Saver - Yellow
