Description
Say hello to the bees. They live in a beehive in the middle of a flower and love nothing better than visiting all the other pretty flowers to collect nectar. The queen bee always insists on sitting in the middle of her hive where she is cozily snuggled up next to all her worker bees. Make a bee family with as many different expressions and characters as your own family.
This is an intermediate level pattern, some crochet knowledge is required. Not recommended for complete beginners, but the pattern does include detailed step by step instructions and pictures to help you.
Using the materials suggested this flower hive measures 29cm wide, each bee is 11cm tall. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished bees. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 60% cotton, 40% acrylic yarn, 3mm crochet hook, safety eyes and toy stuffing.
Please always check materials and current safety standards before giving to a small child.
I would love to see your finished bees, please message me or tag me on facebook or Instagram @smileycrochetthings so I can see your pictures. If you need any assistance or have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
