Say hello to these playful bees! This pattern was my very FIRST pattern I wrote in 2021 and so I'm extra pleased to introduce it to Ribblr. Happy crocheting!

IMPORTANT NOTES/TIPS:
-This basic bee pattern allows for many creative variations. Don't feel limited to the four facial expressions I made!

-Color changing: You may do your color changes the way you're used to but for more advanced crocheters, give this technique a try!

To create less noticeable, steep color changes, insert your hook into the LAST STITCH of the round before the color change, yarn over (with the previous color), and pull the NEW color through the loop to complete that round. Slip stitch into the next stitch (try to keep that stitch loose!). Slip stitches don't add height to the row, so if you make it too tight, you'll experience a sinching effect on that row. Tug on the tails of both the previous color and the current color from the inside. This will create a smoother color change effect.

-Facial features: for a cuter look, keep the height between the eyes and
mouth relatively small.

-The smaller bees in the cover photo were made with the same pattern
and light worsted yarn + 2.75 mm hook!
