--Snake Lore--
All who live in the eastern lands. Know that they are probably going to suffer soon because of the selfish heir, Princess Petalheart. Her parents spoiled her very much, and now Petalheart is very demanding. She will expect things to be given to her quickly and of high quality. But little did she know that her life is about to change.
One day she awakened with a terrible feeling that someone was in her room. "come out at once, and be quick about it." Petalheart said scared. A large shadow dashed past the open curtains and turned the morning sunrise into the darkness of night. "Is this a nightmare. Quick, someone slap me or dump water on my head like the actors." The large shadow suddenly stopped in front of her bed. She was terrified. It spoke in a raspy voice. "I am sorry to alarm you mistress Petalheart. But the Timeweaver has chosen a new path for you." "who are you to say that she chose me to be someone new. I have a perfectly fine life as it is." Petalheart was now upset. The shadow then took the form of a golden dragon with brown and black scales. His voice changed and now it was soft and loud. " I am the royal messenger of the Timeweaver. She specifically told me that I was to tell you about your new destiny. That you cannot deny. You have until the next moon comes. Then I will escort you to your new life." the dragon turned into a shadow again and disappeared through the window. It was still dark out and Petalheart felt annoyed. She went back to sleep and did not care about what the messenger said about her shifting destiny.
It was when the next moon came when Petalheart's life changed for the better. Petalheart had forgotten the message and went to sleep. She had a terrible dream of dark shadows and silhouettes of trees and bushes, speeding past her in the distance. The only thing that was visible in the dark landscape was Petalheart, and her peach scales. The rushing trees stopped and a grassy patch of forest lit up. The Dragon's deep voice spoke: "This is your new home, your old position was taken by a snake that lives in this forest. He was beat on by robbers, and half eaten alive by bears and birds. He needed a change of perspective. I think the Timeweaver has chosen well for you to swap places with him." The dragon made himself visible and flew off. As he flew off, the landscape came from darkness, to morning. "Aaarhggg what am I supposed to do in this gross forest. There are no hand-cooked rodents to give me, let alone servants." A sneaky, slithering voice lit up in the trees. It was not like the dragon voice of the messenger, but it still gave the same fear. "Ahh now we have something to dine on." More voices hissed in the canopy. Petalheart was frightened. "Don't you know who I am. I am Princess Petalheart of the eastern border." "Hah you seem like my daughter's hideskin doll. Well the name, not so much the hide. Anyways we are here for food. I think we are in the right place." Petalheart looked at her plump tail. "Do you mean me?" The voice turned into a dragon. He had Monarch wings, and a Monarch's pattern for scales. His main color was orange, with iridescent accents. He sort of fell majestically out of the trees. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Zvarin of the Leaflashers. You are in their forest. Ladies, come out of the trees and greet our fellow serpent." Five female Leaflashers, all different colors shot out of the trees. Petalheart was surrounded. A purple Leaflasher with Swallowtail's wings, shot a blow dart at Petalheart. She instantly fell asleep.
When Petalheart awakened, she was in what appeared to be a cooking room, she got up out of her bed, and tried to slither away, but a Moth-looking Leaflasher caught her. He had Strange scars and looked all battered. Like someone fought him and won. He grabbed Petalheart and told her. "Never do that again you pampered serpent." Petalheart was thrown onto a platter. She looked around and saw almost dead or dead bodies of reptiles, rodents, and birds. Petalheart knew that she was going to be food soon. "*Sigh* I have always wanted to die at least in my kingdom, next to mother and father. Not in this weird forest. I never even got a chance to live."
