Description
This sweet bunny lovey is excited to hop your way for a project! It makes a sweet baby shower gift or a small toy for any little one! This snuggable bunny also makes a great First Christmas or birthday gift. It makes a wonderful quiet toy to throw into your diaper bag to carry with you. It makes an excellent sensory toy.
This lovely bunny security blanket is an easy and quick crochet project. If you are a product seller, this security blanket would make a great product to add to your product line anytime of the year.
Special note: If you are giving this cute bunny lovey to a child under 3, please embroider the eyes instead of using safety eyes for safety reasons.
Layout:
All of my patterns feature the same consistent layout which is easy to read and understand in US American terms. It is easy to find all the information you need to make this project. It lists materials, gauge, size, pattern key, any special stitches, notes, and then the pattern instructions and assembly. This crochet pattern features photo tutorials throughout
Experience Level: Easy
Size:
When you are finished, your bunny security blanket should measure approximately 13.5" x 12.5" x 3.5"
Pattern Key:
HDC - Half Double Crochet
SC - Single Crochet
sc2tog - single crochet decrease
sl st - slip stitch
FO - Finish Off
ST(S) - Stitch/stitches
REV SC - Reverse Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
Ch - Chain
Rnd(s) - Round(s)
Special Stitches:
Reverse Single Crochet (REV SC)
Insert the hook in the first stitch to the right, turning the hook downward to yarn over and pull it through. Yarn Over, and pull it through both loops on the hook to complete the stitch. Repeat around.
Single Crochet Decrease (SC2TOG)
Insert hook in the next stitch, and pull up a loop. (2 loops on the hook) Insert hook in the next stitch, and pull up another loop. (You should have 3 loops on your hook now.) Yarn over, and pull yarn through all 3 hoops.
Shell Stitch
5 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
Notes:
Read through the entire pattern first.
I used the same variegated yarn on both examples. On Option A, I used I Love This Yarn Grape for the shell border, inner ears, nose. I also used white for the head and outer ears. On Option B, I used the same brand I Love This Yarn with the same yardage, etc but in the colors Ocean for the border and inner ears. I also used I Love This Yarn Toasted Almond for the head and outer ears. It is all the same amount of yardage that would be needed.
The head is worked in continuous rounds. Do not join while making the head. Use stitch markers to know where your first stitch in the round is.
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch throughout pattern.
Sl St does not count as a stitch throughout the pattern.
Repeat stitches between * and * around.
