Description
The Big Orange Cardi was originally published on the cover of Crochet Now magazine in 2019 as “The Canteloupe Cardigan", and designed to be an epically chunky must-have winter warmer. The oversized balloon sleeves are modern and fun, and the relaxed fit is perfect for chilly nights in front of the TV. This cardigan is worked seamlessly from cuff to body and seamed along the centre back, with hems and neckline trims worked at the end to finish it off.
Due to the interesting construction method, there are a few points throughout the pattern that are perfect for stopping to check the fit. You don’t want to get all the way to the end and realise you want to add or remove some rows from the sleeve or centre back!
