This pattern includes an optional granny square accessory with fringes. The granny square was really fun to make in the process. The fringes are tied on to the corner spaces of the granny square.

Zavashia, a true mystery indeed, some say that she lingers around Valarya's constellations. Others say that she was killed by her mate. But no one knows for certain if she is alive, or dead. Her daughter, Constellaar is a breed of the sunrise. Her magnificent light-purple scales, and albino white head are sure to fool some serpents into believing she is a Lightborne. But she is a true Darkborne. Zavashia's other offspring, are in fact, twins. She named her dark one Star, after her bright circle on her forehead. Star's brother, Nova, is named after his white body, and black circle on his forehead. All three of Zavashia's offspring are alive and well. But they are hidden in the vast dimensions of Galazaar's constellation. All of Zavashia's children are in deep torment, because they are separated from each other. It has caused so much rage for Constellaar, that her wrath burned a crater in the most powerful city in Valarya. The city of the last Birs, or Human-Birds. There are now only ruins of that once glorious city. important artifacts are buried under the mess of destruction.
The size of Zavashia is as great as a small planet. Ancient myths are telling. They say that Zavashia is the black and white auroras in the polar regions. Those ones are abnormal. The myth goes, For one so great, even a sheath of sorrow could hide the true identity of the stars herself. Zavashia is eternally weeping is sorrow for the loss of her loved ones. The only thing that reminds her of her family is the Starren silk blanket that she gave to Constellaar when she was a hatchling, it represents the birth and death of stars as they fade and grow again. Her mate weaved the blanket with star silk, a rare material.
Valkarthra herself worships Zavashia. Even Uthraraz, queen of the Chazmaks takes knowledge from her. She is like the first Chazmak ever to be created in all of Valarya...
