This pattern is for an adult size (one size) knitted bonnet with a crochet scalloped edge and ties. It is beginner friendly and has links to tutorials for the techniques used in the pattern. The pattern calls for Wool And The Gang 'Feeling Good Yarn', or any other worsted / aran weight yarn you can get gauge with, 4.5mm knitting needles, and a 3.75mm crochet hook.
