Description
Description
Pattern is worked in panels, seamed together and finished off with an applied i-cord edging. Panels are worked with horizontal stripes then oriented so stripes are vertical when seaming. It's designed with 6" of positive ease for a loose fit. Amount of positive ease will depend on where you fall within the size range: model is 53" with 34" bust, wearing size S.
Double Pointed Needles are only used for the applied i-cord edging. Reference Marly Birds tutorial to get familiar with this technique: https://youtu.be/miMbWk3FW4s
Completed pocket instructions can be used as your swatch. Each stripe measures roughly 1".
Slipping stitches is always done purlwise.
Highly recommend Patty Lyons one move SSK: https://youtu.be/GXBSmedZXfY
Color changes are carried and floated along edges. They become invisible with seams and the applied i-cord edging.
Use your choice of cast on and bind off. Sample was made using a long tail cast on and traditional bind off in pattern.
Use your choice in seaming, Sample is seamed using the invisible horizontal and vertical seaming techniques for stockinette. If unfamiliar, reference these tutorials: https://youtu.be/QTmEkq-X98w https://youtu.be/PbgYNvkEZQM
When wrong side and right sides are referenced, this means the knit stitch texture is the right side and the purl bump texture is the wrong side.
To customize panel and sleeve lengths, add 3-4 sts for every inch desired.
