Description
This pattern is a gift to my bridesmaids and uses many of the stitches I used in my own veil. It was one of the biggest shawl projects I have ever worked on and was a lot of fun to complete.
It features the following lace stitches: feather and fan (or old shell), fir cone, large eyelet ribbing and a basic mesh. The increases are worked on the edge and on either side of the center on the right side only.
To make the shawl larger, use the additional yarn from the contrast colors and repeat or elongate any section desired. The pattern is adjustable and the stitch blocks can be moved around depending on preference and the colors can be changed as desired. Each stitch block is labeled for ease of moving.
When increasing and doing a lace section the pattern can be ignored and stitches completed in stockinette or wait until there are enough stitches to add the next repeat in the pattern.
