Cairngorm Vest is a sleeveless, fitted tank-style garment designed to be quick to make and easy to wear. It began as a way to use up yarn I already owned and loved in my stash. The granny cluster fabric works up quickly and creates a light but structured layer that is comfortable across seasons. The Cairngorms themselves give this vest its name. Although often translated as ‘Blue Hills’, the original Gaelic name ‘Am Monadh Ruadh’ literally means ‘The Russet Mountains’.
