About the Pattern:
The Checkmate! Socks feature colorwork images of the chess pieces as well as a checkerboard heel.
Sizes:
1 (2) for a sock circumference of
8 (9) inches / 20 (23) cm or a foot circumference of 9 (10) inches / 23 (25.5) cm
Gauge:
32 sts / 40 rows = 4 x 4 in or 10 x 10 cm
Worked in Stockinette
Materials:
US 1 / 2.25mm circular needles/DPNs
US 1.5 / 2.5mm circular needles/DPNs

Yarn Needle
Preferred blocking supplies
Yarn Required:
MC - cuff, main leg, and foot - 250yd / 228.6m
CC 1 - black - 75yd / 68.5m
CC 2 - white - 75yd / 68.5m
Recommended Yarn:
Cascade Heritage Sock or any fingering weight or sock yarn. I recommend a wool-based yarn with some nylon, acrylic, or polyamide content.
