--Snake Lore--
Noodle was a bright and cheerful young snake who loved to visit Dusty at his house. She would always visit him while her parents were hunting. Dusty would always meet her on the grassy hill next to his house.
"Why don't you have any parents." Noodle looked up at dusty with bright eyes. "Well Noodle I don't really know what happened to them. They must've died when I was younger. I know that I was raised by my uncle, Veur 'Aeta. He was not really kind to me, he abandoned me a couple months ago." "That's terrible I'm so sorry for that... At least we have each other. My parents say that they are hunting but really they are just partying without me." Noodle looked like her little spirit was crushed just then.
Dusty moved his head up. "Well how about I take you on a little adventure!" Noodle was now happy again. "First we have to put on our disguises. Here, I'll be a cowboy, and you are going to be a chef." Dusty handed Noodle a very large silk chef hat that looked very expensive and a reddish bandana that looked like it had been worn out over the years and lost some dye. "Dusty, what and where are we going." "You'll see." Dusty winked
Dusty slithered quickly out of the nest and darted through the tall grass, majestically dodging stones here and there. Noodle followed him but in a more clumsy matter. The two snakes leaped over a stream and into a fallen log. Through the log, there was a burrow leading underground. Yellow lights were visible through the tunnel. Noodle looked around at the environment with awe. She had never really seen a cave party before. The tunnel was glowing with clay and amber lanterns with fireflies caged in them. Woven grass carpets were placed on the floor of the tunnel to guide the snakes to the party room. When the two got to the party room, they were flashed with golden gems and other shiny materials gleaming on some partygoers dresses and capes. There was a small wooden stage with an old looking snake singing on it. Acorn and pinecone decorations were strung all throughout the room. Dusty slithered up to a very rich looking female snake.
"Hey Dusty. It's been too long. What are you supposed to be, a cowsnake? "Yes it has and yes I am a cowsnake Silkscale. Oh Noodle, this is Silkscale, she is one of my friends at this party. I think she is supposed to be dressing up as Queen Rainbow." Noodle looked up at Silkscale. She was wearing expensive-looking jewels and her face was patterned with gems spiraling in a circular pattern below her eyes. Her scales were painted with an iridescent glow, probably to mimic a rainbow boa. "You are pretty." Noodle said with a drooling expression. Silkscale turned her face. "Psht whatever little worm." Noodle saw that Dusty left and was slithering over to a wooden table filled with wild game of all sorts. Dusty took a dead rabbit and stuck it in his mouth. Noodle slithered up to the table and looked at a platter of colorful birds. She took the smallest green bird and began to swallow it.
Silkscale slithered up to Dusty and started talking to him. There were so many conversations going on at that party that Noodle didn't know what they were saying. Then Dusty spoke to Noodle. "Silkscale and I are going to be over there in that corner talking, feel free to do whatever you want." Noodle was excited. "Ok Dusty." Noodle slithered over to a firefly lantern and started to inspect it, her chef hat fell to the right and she lifted it back up onto her head. The fireflies in the lantern were blinking and winking at her and she giggled at it.
"Dusty, look, I know I invited you to this party and you only, not with this worm. Who is that little worm anyways." "Oh that is Noodle. She has been my friend for some time now." Silkscale started to look somewhat surprised and a little angry. "How long" "Not that long, only my entire life had I known her. Why do you care, Silkscale. "It's just ugh I don't want her to ruin our relationship." Dusty looked confused. "Wait, our relationship. We have known each other for about a week and now we have a relationship." "Well you were kind to me the first day of hunting class, so I supposed you liked me." "Oh no, Mentor Raventooth just asked me to be kind to you as well as welcoming and inclusive." Silkscale looked over at Noodle and watched her try to open the lantern containing the fireflies; she was successful. A ton of fireflies flew out of the container. She looked super happy about that. She leaped and tried to catch the fireflies as if she were a cat swatting at a yarn ball. "You better attend to that little cat of yours Dusty."
Dusty slithered over to Noodle. "What are you doing? Noodle, we can be asked to leave if they saw you open that lantern." A dark brown snake with a fancy black raven mask on, slithered up to Dusty and Noodle. "What are you doing Dusty, is this your little sister. Tell her not to do that ever again." "Yes Raventooth. Dusty grabbed the lantern and flung it over the fireflies in the air and placed it upside down on a stool. "Noodle, you almost got me in trouble with the head mentor of my hunting class." Noodle was not paying attention, she was looking at a black and brown spotted snake with a rugged leather cape and a black hood. With a giant, bulky python by his side with a bag full of something white and glowy. "Is that your uncle, Dusty?" Dusty turned around slowly with a scared expression. He shot under the table and grabbed Noodle in the process. "Do not make a hiss Noodle." Dusty whispered. "That is Veur' Aeta and Zalukris. If they find out that I'm here, I'm in so much trouble. I'm basically dead meat!."
Zalukris opened the pouch and emptied the mysterious white object onto a table. Raventooth slithered up to the table. He reached into his pocket and took out a golden coin. Veur' Aeta smiled and said. "Oh that angel snake, how ignorant she was." Noodle and Dusty peeked at Raventooth. His tail was curled around the white thing. It was a snake head. Feathers and scales flew off of the head when Raventooth changed directions to slither down a hall. A large feather blew off of the head and landed on Noodle
