A good bag has a certain quiet confidence to it. The kind that doesn't need much explaining, it just sits nicely in your hand and does exactly what you hoped it would. This one grew out of playing with a fan stitch in nylon cord, watching how the texture builds and holds its shape row by row. At some point it stopped feeling like an experiment and started feeling like something you'd reach for without thinking.

It's structured but still soft to the touch, simple in shape but with just enough detail to keep it interesting. The leafy flap became my favorite part somewhere along the way, like a small finishing ritual at the end of each use. It's the kind of project you make once, then catch yourself wondering how it would look in every other color sitting in your yarn stash.
