Presenting a crochet pattern for Chic Twists Topby Knittybae. This crochet pattern is made by alternating between colors on each row to create striped effect. This beginner-friendly pattern works up quickly using long treble crochet stitches and a 5mm hook. It's a perfect stash-buster project, ideal for using up scrap yarn or leftover skeins you want to put to good use!

The pattern is designed in three double sizes: XS/S, M/L, and XL/XXL, but it can also be worked as a made to measure design. If the listed sizes don't match your measurements, you can customize each part by following the helpful customization notes throughout the pattern.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE TOP

The Chic Twists Top is worked from the top-down in a classic raglan construction. You'll begin at the neckline, then work four increase points to shape the sleeves and body simultaneously. Increases are continued evenly until the desired bust measurement is reached.

Once the yoke is complete, the sleeves are separated from the body. The body is worked first, followed by each sleeve, which is completed individually.

MATERIALS:

- CROCHET HOOK 5 mm / UK 6 / US H-8
- LIGHT WEIGH YARN (no. 3), DK or Light Worsted
- SCISSORS
- TAPE MEASURE
- STITCH MARKERS
- TAPESTRY NEEDLE (for weaving in ends)


YARN RECOMMENDATIONS:

- You can use any yarn of your choice, such as cotton, wool or acrylic (you can use blends: e.g. 60% cotton, 40% acrylic etc.),
- You can combine 2 or 3 strands of different weight yarns to create your unique look for this top.
- If you're customizing the size and not following one of the presented sizes, I recommend using a crochet hook no larger than 8 mm. For best results, also avoid using yarn heavier than Bulky (no. 5) when working with a single strand.
This is a great stash-buster project it works perfectly with scrap yarns or leftover skeins you want to put to good use!


e.g. For red sample top in size M/L I've used single strand of yarn: Light weight (no. 3). I've used Caricia Classic (100g / 300 m) in shades 076, 118 and 066 (in total approx. 900 m one skein of each color)
