Description
Hello, and thank you so much for purchasing this pattern! This was inspired by a patchwork blanket that I never got to finish, and thought a lot of the patches would look super cute as a cardigan or sweater. The pattern uses a number of more intermediate-level crochet techniques, such as colorwork, working in the round, and creating ribbing-as-you-go. The pattern includes:
- Instructions for making 31 different patches. Some of them are simple granny square-styled patches, while others are inspired by popular stitches (like the spiral square, and checkered square). Seven patches are made with cute appliques in the shape of fruits or other shapes (like a rainbow). Five patches are made using colorwork techniques. There are also some very unique patches, some of my favorite patches that I created! You can mix and match which patches you choose to make, so no two projects will look the same! It's a real choose-your-own-adventure patchwork cardi/sweater!
- Detailed made-to-measure instructions to create either a sweater or cardigan version using the patches, including detailed instructions and tips on how to adjust the size, so it is great for anyone who wants to completely customize the length and width of their cardi/sweater!
MASSIVE thanks to all my testers!! This pattern would not be possible without them <3

For reference:For the example cardi, I used about 1650 meters worth of yarn for the patches and about 300 meters of yarn for the ribbing. A total of 1950 meters (about 500 grams of light-worsted weight acrylic yarn). I usually wear a size S/M, the sleeves were fitted and the torso was slightly cropped and oversized. Here are also some estimated yardages for different sizes based on my testers@q notes (note that these are largely for an oversized and cropped look):- S (34@Q bust) => around 1600-1700 yards- L (41@Q bust) => about 2200 yards- XL (45@Q bust) => about 3500 yardsThe number of colors will depend on which colors you wish to use, so be as creative and colorful as you like :)I used a mixture of light-worsted weight and aran yarn for a combination of textures and thicknesses, but you can choose to use any yarn weight you want. The pattern will provide made-to-measure instructions which should work for all yarns and hook sizes!. Tools required: 3.5mm crochet hook, x4 1-inch buttons (for cardigan version, optional), Thread and sewing needle (to sew buttons for cardigan version, optional), A yarn needle, A measuring tape (optional).
