A simple-to-follow pattern to learn to knit texture. Knitted on straight knitting needles, this pattern takes you step by step through knitting up multicoloured eggs to hang on your Christmas tree or on your walls.

To make your eggs you will need 4mm knitting needles, some chunky yarn, stuffing and a darning needle. The eggs are knitted flat and incorporate Irish Moss Stitch (how to do this is explained in the pattern)

You Will Need:
Small amounts of chunky yarn in the colours of your choice. You can use any oddments from your stash. We used small amounts of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Rose (pink) and Aspen (green) and a small amount of Scheepjes Chunky Monkey in colour 1068 (the bright blue) and Paintbox Simply Chunky in Washed Teal 332 (the light greeny-blue)
You can also make these eggs in single colours- to do this just ignore the instructions for changing colours throughout the pattern. The single-colour egg pictured was knitted in Rico Designs Essentials Mega Wool Chunky in Lilac (colour code 008)
