Materials
Yarns
Chunky polyester yarn. In this pattern we used:
James C Brett Flutterby Chunky in Pewter. 2 (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) balls
Left over black yarn for nostrills
Hooks
5.5mm hook
Fabrics
3-4mm thick felt fabric (For making the soles, you should buy enough so it would fit both of your feet + extra fabric - it's different depending on the size you are making)

Note: If you can't find a thick enough felt fabric, you can glue thinner fabrics together for a thicker one. Tip: to make it more fluffy, you can stuff it with a thin layer of toy stuffing between the layers!

Finished!
Will take a better pic later. Finished. Granddaughter will love them.
Really fun too make! I definitely think this is not best if you are a beginner as it does become quite complicated at some parts when joining but it is still a fantastic pattern
I totally forgot to add the nostrils and it makes such a difference to the level of cutiness!
Super cute and low sew! My toddler is going to love them

Super cute. Easy to follow. Love the softness. Can either make your own crochet sole or use felt which makes it easy.
They came out so cute. Made with b&m chenille yarn and 6.5mm hook. I used the adult M settings.

I love this pattern. So easy to follow. Quick to make.
Ive almost finished the 1st slipper it's a really good pattern once I figured it out, I was a little confused and ended up completely missing the toe front but I thought I was doing it correctly cause my slipper matched the picture, but I figured it out and it came out so cute. It works up a lot quicker than I originally thought which is great. I used Red Heart Love yarn double stranded with a 5.5mm next time I'd use a 6mm if I use acrylic yarn again. But my gauge met the swatch so I went with it . I love how the pattern includes video and pictures. I wish there was sound for the video, but they do work if you need to see what is being described.
A Fairly quick make has videos to help with some steps making it easier to make these adorable hippo slippers. Has instructions for making them nonslip as well!
