The Chunky Knit-Look Beanie is a super fun accessory that screams winter! I love this hat because it combines the traditional selburose motif (the snowflake) of Scandinavian knitwear with a super chunky yarn for a fun spin on a winter classic. This hat uses the waistcoat stitch and is crocheted in the round so is great for a beginner looking for a bit of a challenge! The sample hat this pattern is based off of is made of Malabrigos Chunky yarn in a bulky weight. I used the colors Violetas and Watergreen. The finished hat measures 8" in tall while laying flat and has a 21 circumference at the base of the hat. This hat reaches the very top of the ear, please see photos to see the fit!

You will need 117 yards (112 g) of your base color and 30 yards (28g) of your accent color.

You must already know how to make a foundation chain and how to complete a waistcoat stitch (aka center post stitch or knit stitch)
