As an absolute crochet beginner, I absolutely recommend this adorable birdie! The only bit that confused me a tiny bit were the top two feathers and closing up the head, but I'm sure that's more of a me issue. I used DK weight yarn as that's all I had, so it's not quite as floofy and chonky as intended, but I adore it nonetheless, and so does my partner, who I made this for.

This pattern is seriously awesome. I made this for a friend and I think it's perfect and so so cute. I used size 4.5 mm hook! I wish I made the wings a little bit shorter but other than that it's perfection!

Just finished this guy as a cockatoo, not a cockatiel. I based my colors on the picture I had for the desk pet I was aiming for. Instructions were really simple, but I didn't do the get and yellow color changes and didn't do the cheeks. I went freestyle on the beak. I do wish he had feet so he wasn't so wobbly. But he's super cute. White and gray are bernat blanket, yellow is lion brand hometown.

So cuteeee! you can add a tail by slip stitching into the bottom and doing the same thing you did for the head feathers but make it longer
