Description
The perfect accessory for that gorgeous hand-dyed skein you just had to have, but are not sure what to do with, or that wild, colorful skein that will never go with anything in your wardrobe. The perfect project if you need a change from our beloved single skein shawls.
If you can knit, purl and count to 5 you can knit these leg warmers.
Great for social knitting or “knitflixing".
Worked in the round, starting and ending with Twisted Ribbing, working a spiral sequence for the rest.
These were originally named FLDSMDFR Cloud leg warmers because the yarn I used reminded me of the colorful cloud Flint Lockwood’s food machine creates in the animated movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Because, yes - I’m a child at heart!
Sequence Knitting
Cecelia Campochiaro’s concept of Sequence Knitting is simple: take a sequence of stitches and repeat them again and again, creating a
myriad of complex and interesting fabrics. These leg warmers use Spiral Sequence Knitting. What makes this type of sequence particularly interesting is that because the pattern multiple is not equal to the sequence length, the stitches do not line up from round to round. You work the sequence, and when the round is finished, the
sequence just continues. The BOR marker is used only to keep track of rounds.
