Description
This project requires 2 colours, I used (7oz, 354 yds) ball of each colour, and was left with a bit of leftovers. Because of the ruffles I used a lot more of colour 1 than I did of colour 2. I don’t recommend this as a beginner project because it uses a lot of different types of stitches.
This vest uses a long wave stitch, if you’re not familiar with the long wave stitch it uses sc, hdc, dc and trc. (There are also a bunch of tutorials on YouTube)
Size of yarn: medium (4) on the thicker side of yarn, similar to red heart yarn
This pattern is based off of my size, I haven’t figured out how to size up my patterns constantly yet. Until I can, all my patterns will remain free.
To size up: The wave pattern runs in 15 stitch increments (every 15 stitches it repeats itself), to increase size instead of starting off with a chain 45, add 15 more to the chain. For example a size small is 45, a medium is (45+15=) 60 stitches, and a large is (45+15+15=) 75 stitches and so forth. The best way to figure out size is to create the initial ch and compare it to a garment that fits you correctly. Keep in mind that the front and back are 2 separate pieces.
