I must admit my kitchen towels were looking a little ragged and telling their age. After purchasing some new towels, much to my dismay, they aren't made with the same quality...starting to fall apart after the very first wash. This started me down the path of creating towels that would hold up. Since I had an abundance of cotton yarn in my stash taking up space, I wanted to design a quick and easy pattern for both a hanging towel and basic kitchen towel. I have kiddos and a hanging towel is a must as they just kind of toss them or needing an accessible towel. With a lot of trial and error this pattern was born with some basic stitches and no need for sewing or creating a topper. This towel features minimal sewing (just attaching the button) with a built in button hole while creating a hanging and towel portion as one.

*Please note *
Using stitch markers throughout this pattern is very helpful as we won't be using a turning chain . I would suggest marking the first and last stitches of the row to help keep the edges straight.
