The cotton yarn not only offers a stiffer structure to the coaster but also is absorbent.

These coasters can be given individually or made in a set of 4. They make the perfect gift for that special teacher in your life.

I prefer to use Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn.
A smaller hook can be used to create a slightly smaller coaster.
