This pattern is originally from my book Retro Crochet Style, which can be found wherever you buy books or at this link:

This pattern is written for 9 different sizes (traditionally XS-5XL in the US), but it includes instructions on how to adjust it to other sizes. These sizes have been tested by crocheters of all levels; this pattern is best suited for advanced beginners.
The pattern is written in English using US terminology. It includes step-by-step instructions and images, including instructions to make the shorts to your specific measurements.
Materials:
5mm crochet hook
780-2315 total yds [713-2117 m] of aran/worsted/size 4 yarn (depends on size)
Scissors
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
I've used Wool and the Gang's Shiny Happy Cotton and Red Heart Super Saver Acrylic to make this cardigan. I recommend a similar cotton or acrylic for your own project.
