This idea has been in my head for quite a while and I'm super excited to get to share it with all of you now!

This pattern is best suited for a confident beginner or intermediate knitter who is comfortable with color changes. It's also a made to measure pattern so you can ensure the perfect fit- please reach out to me if you have any questions about sizing!!

This pattern was tested by a talented group of knitters to ensure that the pattern is as easy to understand as possible. This pattern was tested up to to a size 3XL. You will need:
5.0mm or 6.0mm circular needles (size depending on preference)

300-400g of 3 colors of your favorite Aran weight (weight 4) yarn. See page 13 of the pattern for more detailed info on yardage.

Yarns

1 background color for the majority of the sweater. (200-600 g)

2 additional colors for the cowboy hat and 1 color for the hat band (100-150g for each color)

Needles

5.0mm or 6.0mm needles depending on your desired gauge or weight. I knit the panels flat but I like to use circular needles for that anyway. You will need a 24-30” cord for the panels or straight needles and a 16” cord to work the ribbing on the armholes and collar.
