Changing Yarn Color

Leave the last single crochet of the old color unfinished (i.e., two loops on the hook) and pull though the new color to complete the stitch.

Cord Stitch

Cord stitch is created when you wrap your tail around your hook, yarn over with working yarn and pull it through both loops on your hook.
