Description
Introduction to the pattern

Everyone owns a pair of jeans that are too big, too small, or simply doesn't suit you anymore, and this project is great way to turn your old pair of jeans into something wearable again.

This is beginner-friendly tutorial and by making it, you will not only save those pair of jeans from landfill, but also will save some money you would be spending on yarn instead.

Notes

This pattern is written using standard US crochet terms.

Pattern is worked in rounds.

This handbag has been made using heart shaped buckles to attach the handle, however this is optional and handle can be attached in between stitches without buckle, however if you would like to use exact same buckle it can be found on amazon https://amzn.eu/d/8O1vZoO

To make this bag, you will need some jeans yarn which you can easily make yourself. If you're unsure how to turn your jeans into yarn, you can watch this tutorial I made - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e9DjxdcVXHly__H95X6krfM2UvyBg6Ye/view?usp=share_link or use any other tutorials available on YouTube.

You will need to cut your jeans into 5mm stripes otherwise bag might be too chunky and too hard to work with, and 10mm hook can be too small for thicker jeans yarn. I've used extra small pair of jeans, and it was enough for this bag so any pair of jeans that is bigger than XS and are not slim fit will be enough to make it.

Due to nature of the jeans yarn, bag will shed while making this project as well as at the very beginning of the wearing until shedding stops.
