Description
Introduction to the pattern
This pattern is written for sizes XS-S, M-L, XL-XXL due to the nature of the vest, as this vest is tied together at the sides one pattern will fit few sizes.
Measurements provided are of finished, layed flat vest and it is recommended to look at the measurements to make sure you are following size closest to your measurements.
If none of the sizes provided fits and you would prefer this made to measure, or if you are using different weight yarn, this pattern will include instructions on how to make it to measure.
This pattern is worked by completing 2 panels, front and back, assembling it together and completing it by doing a boarder around the vest with ties. Panels are worked from bottom to the top and finished by shaping neckline and shoulders.
Pattern is written as follows XS-S (M-L, XL-XXL), meaning first number is for size XS-S, then number in brackets is for M-L, and finally last number in brackets is for XL-XLL. This applies to yarn you will need, number of rows, and number of stitches, so if you are following size M-L you will always be looking int number that comes second.
This pattern mainly uses single crochet stitch only, and spike single crochet which is completed as a regular single crochet but 1, 2 or 3 rows below, making it longer single crochet.
Decrease stitch is completed by pulling up a loop in first stitch, then pulling up a loop in next, yarning over and pulling through all 3 loops.
Number in the brackets at the end of each row is total number of stitches for that row.
R in front of the number means row and number after it shows which row it is.
From * to * repeat shown number of times.
