Description
I designed this pattern originally as a comfort shawl when a friend lost her son to cancer. It was knit in a different color than that shown in the wedding picture. There was a small error that I corrected from my original design and I knit it a second time as a wedding shawl for my oldest grand daughter, so it is a versatile shawl. The shawl is large and took me approximately 45 hrs to knit. I am not a professional designer, I do not have a tech editor so the way I word and write my patterns might be confusing (I hope not tho). It is offered as a free pattern to knit. I designed this shawl using an old Shetland lace daisy pattern. Please do not share or sell this pattern as your own, but instead please guide them to this pattern here on Ribblr or on my blog at www.LDSVenus-knits.com/2011/07/12/daisy-rectangular-shawl-by LDSVenus/ . I hope you enjoy this knitting journey ;).

Materials
Yarns
This was designed for fingering weight yarn. I suggest using a yarn that can be easily blocked to open up the lace, such as wool or wool blend.
Needles
I suggest using a size 7, 32" circular needle. Go up or down a needle size to achieve the lace look you desire.
