I never remember the name Lemon Peel st. According to a quick internet search, it's also known as the Up and Down Stitch, Seed Stitch, Griddle Stitch, Crinkle Stitch or Pebble Stitch ??? Wow. I just know it's my favorite.
I use it as often as I can, because I love it.
This pattern is a basic one. I need it to remember my preferred hook size and starting ch numbers (always have an odd number, to account for the ch 1 on the turn.)
Gauge doesn't matter. Any cotton yarn / hook will work, although size will be affected.
