This pattern is suitable for beginners, but please ensure that you count carefully and maintain consistent tension throughout. This pattern is worked in rows. At the end of each row, do one CH and turn your work. Don't work into that CH in the next row but go into the SCs. On rows that finish with chains, one extra chain is included in the number given for the turning chain, do not add an extra onto these rows.
