The perfect cardigan for summer nights by the barbecue and winter evenings next to the fire. This oversized, slouchy cardigan can take you through the seasons in cosy comfort and effortless style.
It includes a lovely mix of simple stockinette stitch and textured rib.
The pattern comes in one size only but fits UK sizes 6-26 due to its cosy, slouchy style.
Simple enough for a beginner, this pattern uses basic knit and purl stitches with a small amount of shaping and a bit of mattress stitch to put it together.
Tension is really important for this pattern – we’ve added an image that shows the difference that a tight or a loose tension can make to the finished garment. If you’d like it slouchier (which is our preference!) then keep your tension nice and loose. If you’re wanting it more fitted then keep your stitches tighter.
