Description
This Drink Koozie crochet pattern is perfect for the confident beginner looking to practice and hone their half double crochet in the round skills.
The koozie is worked as one continuous piece starting with a magic ring at the base and working half double crochets in a spiral up the body until your koozie has reached the desired height, no joining necessary. This koozie pattern will work with many size cans including regular, slim cans, and bigger 24oz cans.
Stitch count doesn't really matter as long as it's the right shape and will fit your can or bottle.
I recommend using acrylic (plastic) yarn for this project so the koozie will stretch around various can sizes. I'm not sure how well these koozies will insulate your drink tho, but all the koozies I've ever used have been made from some type of plastic material (polyurethane / neoprene) so there's another reason to use acrylic yarn for this.
As much as I prefer natural fibers, cotton yarn would just soak in the condensation and lose it's shape. I'm curious how wool would do tho due to its moisture wicking capabilities  if anyone tries it, please let us know how it worked out for you!
This pattern is part of a kit and will always remain free
