For this amigurumi hat I used Elle Pure Gold DK, a double knit (weight 3) yarn, and a 4.00mm crochet hook. Any size yarn can be used as long as the correct sized crochet hook is used as well. The bigger the yarn and the crochet hook, the larger the chick will be.
