The pattern consists of any number of repeats of a pattern and can therefore be crocheted as small as you like or as large as you like. My recommendation: a lightweight cotton yarn for an airy summer look or alpaca wool for a blanket replacement for a cold office For the piece shown, I used a 4-ply cotton-acrylic blend and a 4.5mm crochet hook.
