This elephant makes a great baby toy for any little one in your life. It is constructed around a ring so that the head, legs and tail all move. You can put the elephant in a flat, standing or sitting position, as well as many others. The ring is a great shape for little hands to grab and theyll be charmed by its rattling head. Also included in the pattern is a stick rattle version, perfect for little ones to shake and make music.

This is an intermediate level pattern; some crochet knowledge is required. The pattern includes detailed step by step instructions and pictures to help you.

Using the materials suggested this elephant measures 18 cm. Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished toy. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 100% cotton yarn, 2.5mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a small toy rattle.
