The pattern starts from the top of the head and works down, incorporating the arms as you crochet. There is also the option to crochet in the tail as you go, rather than sewing it on. The hair, top and starfish are then crocheted separately. There is some sewing required for attaching the eyes, hair, starfish and top and a little simple embroidery for the mouth. I've provided options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, Eggy Mermaid reaches a height of approximately 11cm.
