Description
Introducing the swashbuckling delight of the crochet world, Eggy Pirate! This charming amigurumi pattern brings to life a lovable chubby pirate character, complete with all the iconic accessories that make him ready to set sail on daring adventures. With his jaunty hat perched atop a vibrant red bandanna, an eye patch adding an air of mystery, and a trusty sword by his side, Eggy Pirate is sure to steal the hearts of crafters and pirate enthusiasts alike.
The pattern starts from the top of the head and works down, incorporating the arms and feet as you crochet. The accessories and hat are then crocheted separately. There is some sewing required for attaching the eyes, beard and hat and a little simple embroidery for the mouth and belt buckle. I've provided options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, Eggy Pirate reaches a height of approximately 12cm. I'd love to see your completed projects; feel free to share them by tagging me on Instagram @dreamweave.creations or visiting my Facebook page, DreamWeave Creations.
I have assigned an intermediate skill level to this pattern. While the majority of it involves simple stitches, there is some assembly required in sewing components together and a little embroidery for the and mouth and belt buckle. Additionally, there are a few colour changes required whilst crocheting the body.
Feel free to explore variations by swapping out yarn and hook sizes to achieve a different outcome, and get creative with experimenting with various colours.
