The beautiful electric blue in Mad Scientist Yarns Cosmic Candy colorway delights me to no end. It floods me with memories of my grandmother, Hazel, who I used to visit a province over in British Columbia during our summer vacations. She taught seniors line dancing for several years, so my brother and I would be brought to the dance hall to watch (and sometimes participate) in line dancing with all these lovely folks in their western wear… which entailed that electric blue.

It is funny how we forget about these beautiful, pleasant moments like that until we are brought back to them with something as simple as a color.

Worked in the round, Electric Slide contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
