This year we had an influx of those winged stingers..hornets. In an effort to reduce them gathering where my highly allergic husband may get stung, I placed a few around our screened ini front porch. I will say I was highly suspicious if they really work. I'm happy to report no new nests or hornets have gathered in our favorite hangout spot.

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds using jute twine or yarn. Hook size and final size is really dependent on materials used. I've made them using thinner twine, acrylic yarn and jute twine. Thinner yarn and twine will yield a small versus larger faux nest.
