The soft delicate nature of 4ply fine 2 yarn and a beautiful texture created by ribbing and eyelets, plus a circular crown - makes this hat stunning, beautiful and gorgeous to wear!

I have designed this with the vertical rows because it gives a super comfortable fit and the linear look is very "knit" like. To avoid the bulk at the crown, you will finish the top of the hat once the main body is complete with a circular crown, decreasing stitches to create a perfect fit.

You may or may not like a pompom so you can learn how to make a simple removeable system to aid laundering or changing the "look". And of course this can be done with a yarn created pompom also.

I love working with natural fibres! Yes they are more expensive but I generally find they feel better, stretch and bounce back in a way that man made fibres don't. As my patterns are worked in natural yarns keep this in mind if you are substituting an acrylic or man made fibre. In saying that, it's a matter of trialling yarns that you might think can be used. The key is keeping it fine so the finish is delicate and elegant.
As Yarn weights around the world use different terminology so check out the conversion chart before you select your yarn to ensure you get the correct weight.
