Beautiful AND useful, the kind of crochet I like.
This bag works up really quick. Pretty flower will turn into a market bag for those unplanned trips to the shops.
I recommend using DK (or lighter weight) yarn because anything above would make the bag too bulky to fit neatly inside the flower. However, if you want to mix and match, you can make the flower bigger (using size 4 yarn) and make the bag using DK yarn, you can make your bag a little longer and it will still fit inside the flower head.
