For reference I used James C Brett flutterby chunky yarn for this ghost, you can use whatever yarn you prefer (just note that sizes may differ).

For this pattern abbreviations you will need to know are:
single crochet (sc)
inc (increase)
hdc (half double crochet)
dec (decrease)
mr (magic ring)
dc (double crochet
flo (front loop only)
blo (back loop only)
sl st (slip stitch)
Please note that this pattern works in US ABBREVIATIONS, not UK so please set your ribblr to US ABBREVIATIONS otherwise it will not work!!!

Because of these stitches (and working in flo & blo) being slightly harder than beginner level I would say that this pattern is best suited to ADVANCED BEGINNERS/ INTERMEDIATE crochet artists.
