Description
Description
This frost flowers knit scarf is a nice way to gift oneself flowers in yarn form that will never die. Its texture is created through a 24-row repeat and constructed to be a long rectangle. Its shape allows it to be a chunky statement piece that can be wrapped multiple times or draped around the neck to let the design speak for itself.
Pattern is worked flat, meaning you will turn for every row. I have found learning to knit backwards is convenient to avoid flipping as the project grows to become more cumbersome.
Scarf is constructed from the bottom up in rows using circular needles to hold the weight of all the stitches.
Highly recommend Patty Lyon's one move SSK: https://youtu.be/GXBSmedZXfY
Use your choice of cast on. Sample was made using a German Twist cast-on: https://youtu.be/oWHRfvU5im0
I recommend a full repeat when gauge swatching for best accuracy, as well as, to get familiar with pattern. It is only important in order to achieve same dimensions & yardage AND I used every bit of listed yarn.
To customize the length, add/subtract repeats of entire R1-24 for every 8".
