Description
The bag is worked up by creating two separate flat panels which are then sewn together, and two handles are added. The handles are worked onto the bag in one piece.
It is highly suggested to have separate skeins of the main color (white yarn) to work from because some parts of the pattern require to use that color twice in a row. You can also work from the center pull and the outside end, however this can cause the yarn to get tangled. The other yarns are used one at a time, so there is no need for extra skeins or carrying of the yarn.
The dimensions of the finished bag are:
11.5in tall, 14in wide, two 24in handles
Materials Needed:
4mm Crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn (yardage below). I used 100% acrylic yarn for my bag, but feel free to use whatever type of yarn you want. Brands such as Red Heart, Paintbox, Sugar n Cream, Big Twist, Lion Brand, etc. offers a wide variety of yarn selection perfect for this project.
Yardage:
Color 1 (Orange): 20 yards
Color 2 (Yellow): 65 yards
Color 3 (Blue): 40 yards
Color 4 (Red): 95 yards
Main Color (Cream or White): 260 yards
Tape Measure
Stitch Markers (or anything to mark a stitch with)
Scissors (something to cut yarn with)
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
