Learn how to make Shrek Ears to go on your baby Beanie or really anything you want to add them to!
Heads up, this one has a lot of stitch changes so the pattern is written below for ease. Feel free to reach out for any confusing sections as there is A LOT of counting.
To Begin:
Chain 12, slip stitch to make a ring/loop
Row 1. Treble crochet in each stitch, slip stich to finish loop
Row 2. 2 treble crochet in first stitch, 1 treble crochet in the remaining stitches.
Slip stitch to finish loop
Row 3. 2 treble crochet in first stitch, 1 treble crochet in the remaining stitches.
Slip stitch to finish loop
Row 4. 1 treble in 1st and 2nd stich, 2 trebles in the 3rd stitch. Repeat around keeping the pattern 1-1-2.
Slip stitch to finish the loop
Row 5. 2 treble in 1st stich, 1 treble in 2nd, 1 treble in 3rd, 2 trebles in 4th, 1 half treble in 5th, 1 half treble in 6th, 1 half treble in 7th, half treble and double in 8th, half treble in 9th, half treble in 10th, half treble in 11th, half treble in 12th, half treble and treble in 13th, 2 treble crochet in 14th stitch. This should loop all the way around, if it doesn't keep doing treble crochets till you're back at the start.
Slip stitch to finish the loop
Row 6. 2 treble in 1st stitch, 1 treble in 2nd stitch, 1 treble in 3rd stitch, 1 treble in 4th stitch, 1 treble and half treble in 5th stitch, half treble in 6th stitch, half treble in 7th stitch, half treble in 8th stitch, half treble and double in 9th stitch, double in 10th stitch, double in 11th stitch, double in 12th stitch, 2 doubles in 13th stitch, double in 14th stitch, 2 doubles in 15th stitch, double in 16th stitch, half treble in 17th stitch, 2 half trebles in 18th stitch, 2 half trebles in 19th stitch. If this isn't the last stitch for you, continue with trebles till you get to the end.
Slip stitch to finish the loop
Row 7. half treble in the next 6 stitches, 11 double crochets, half treble in the remaining 6 stitches.
