Description
Glammas Gift Blanket is the simple, luxurious baby blanket you have needed. This is a meditative make where you can stitch well wishes and happy thoughts for the little one who will be wrapped in it.
Pattern is worked in rows, creating a wrong side and right side of the blanket. The "floats" will be on the right side and purl bumps on the wrong side.
Be aware of when working yarn should be in the front or back; this is what creates the float" stitch definition.
Tension of "floats" is very important for drape and maintaining square blanket shape. Tip: stretch your stitches across your needle after slipping before continuing on to knitting or purling.
Applied icord border is added after blanket is built. Reference special stitch.
Keep in mind: when machine drying, it might shrink about 2". Sample was pinned & laid flat to dry.
If you would like to adjust for a smaller or larger blanket, cast on a multiple of 8 +2.
