There are so many layout and design options with the Granny Splits square!
This pattern will show you how to create a rainbow ombre version, but by simply turning, increasing rounds, decreasing rounds, or changing the colours of your squares you can put your own stamp on this pattern.
I recommend taking a look at some of the variations I have included before you start, as well as some of the examples made by some of my testers. You can also play around with a grid included at the end of this pattern to come up with your own ideas.

Yarn usage with Paintbox DK cotton is approx. 40gms of each colour, and approx. 70gms of cream for the border. Colours used and Squares required:-Red Wine/Tomato Red x7-Orange/Melon x7-Buttercup Yellow /Lime Green x7-Grass Green/Slate Green x7-Marine Blue/Kingfisher Blue x7-Royal Blue/Dark Aubergine x7-Tea Rose/Raspberry x7, - Tapestry needle - Scissors - Tape measure may come in handy if you are particular about the size you are after.. Tools required: 4mm hook for DK cotton or a 4.5mm hook for DK acrylic. (Or the hook recommended for your yarn if you are using a different weight yarn).
