The Granny Square Headband is a fun, 70's inspired headband that can be finished in under an hour! This pattern is beginner-friendly, and is written in US terminology.

SUPPLIES:
Weight 4 Yarn (3 colors)
Size H (5mm) Crochet Hook
Scissors
Tapestry Needle

Stiches/Abbreviations Used:
CH - Chain
SL - Slip Stitch
SC - Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet

This pattern is best suited for 100% cotton yarn. I used Hobby Lobby's "I Love This Cotton Yarn" in the colors Woods Print, Antique Gold, and Olive.

Lily Sugar'n Cream Yarn could work for this pattern, but it will result in a stiffer, more chunky headband. Acrylic yarn in weight 3 can also be used.

Fits standard adult head. Subtract one granny square for a child's size,or if you have a slightly smaller than average head.

You will need 3 colors of yarn (Colors A, B, and C)

If you want a solid-colored headband, simply use one color and omit the color changes.
